Hello
I am a sighted supporter of a braillist and I want to be able to take a hard copy of a music score, scan into the computer and emboss into braille for a student. Does your software do this?  Also, Do I need to have Jaws on the machine I would like to use this on or is the Jaw script purely to enable a blind user to access the software?

Is there anything you can suggest, this is all new to us?

Dear Lynn,
Yes, it is possible to translate the music using a music OCR like "sharpeye". This program saves files in MusicXML. Then you can load the file MusicXML in our portal and have the file ready to read Braille with BMR or print.
For the second question Jaws is necessary only if the computer is used by a blind person. It is using as screen readers.
For more information I suggest you visit oouur site and see video lessons

Hello.

I'm a visually impaired musician, and I'm going to be graduated in bachelor of composition from the conservatory of Milan. I know braille music notation, and I use to write my music by computer using Sib-access, a plugin which makes Sibelius 5.2.5 accessible through the screen reader, Jaws.

I'm so excited to learn about your project, and I would like to know if there might be a way to submit my request for collaboration. I'm really eager to be engaged in a way in such a project which makes reading and writing music easier to visually impaired people.

Thank you so much.
Best regards,

Antonino Palazzolo

Dear all,

I wrote you  few minutes ago but I figured out how to add parts right now! I studied the program a bit more and I found the solution by myself!
I saw the lessons at Music4vip and I saw that there are a lot of pieces. Congratulation! Is the amount of pieces often increased?
I am curious. Is these scores produced manually?

It’s great keep in contact!
The world of Braille Music is fascinating! I love it! As I love piano too!
Congratulations to your project!
